Genome annotation of Seriola dumerili
Abstract
The greater amberjack (Seriola dumerili) is an economically significant cosmopolitan species, which distributedin the open sea andnearshore reef habitats. As a fast-growing species, it holds outstanding swimming ability and abundant meat-based nutrients, which make appropriatefor marine ranching construction and marketing purposes. However, the incomplete of high-quality genome has limited its conservation, molecular research, and evolution, especially genetic resources for selection breeding. Here, Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) High-Fidelity (HiFi) sequencing, Hi-C chromatin conformation capture, and Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) ultra-long readswere utilized assemble the telomere-to-telomere gap-free genome of greater amberjack.
