Abstract

Reparations are increasingly being viewed as a potential path for addressing the socioeconomic structural inequities that have harmed and continue to harm victim survivors. Regardless of the growing importance of transitional justice in peacebuilding agendas, compensation for conflict-related sexual abuse is inconsistent, under-funded, and frequently unsuitable to survivors' lived experiences.
