Surgical Management of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Buccal Mucosa: A Case Report
Abstract
Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most common malignancy of the oral cavity, frequently involving the buccal mucosa in South Asian populations. Early diagnosis and aggressive surgical management are critical for disease control. This case report presents a 47-year-old female with a right-sided buccal mucosa ulcer diagnosed as OSCC, managed surgically with wide three-dimensional excision, right hemimandibulectomy with disarticulation, and ipsilateral cervical lymph node dissection under general anesthesia.
