Abstract

Data and R code to recreate the data analysis/plotting and the Franks model CO2 reconstruction in the paper and Supplementary Tables 5–12 (file: MorckEtAl_SI2.xlsx).The folder 'data' comprises all stomatal measurement data (stomatal density, pore length, & guard cell length and width), as well as input and output data of the Franks model. The folder 'R_code' comprises R codes on stomatal measurement compilation, measurement and CO2 estimates visualization, as well as Franks model output analysis. The folder 'TRY_dataset' comprises R code and leaf carbon isotope measurements gathered from the TRY database. To run the R code, put the folders in one main folder, and set this as the working directory in RStudio. To run the Franks model and recreate CO2 reconstructions with this dataset, please find the Franks model v2 R code in the supplementary material (data set S7) of Kowalczyk et al. (2018): Kowalczyk, J. B., Royer, D. L., Miller, I. M., Anderson, C. W., Beerling, D. J., Franks, P. J., Grein, M., Konrad, W., Roth-Nebelsick, A., Bowring, S. A., Johnson, K. R., & Ramezani, J.
