Abstract

This article formally documents and recognizes the second group of Prayer Warriors who responded in collective spiritual solidarity following the devastation of Hurricane Melissa. This Category 5 storm struck the Caribbean island of Jamaica. The hurricane resulted in extensive loss of life, infrastructure damage, and national disruption, prompting both immediate humanitarian intervention and global spiritual mobilization. Framed within a faith-based humanitarian context, the work examines prayer as a unifying moral and spiritual response during crisis, functioning alongside tangible relief efforts. The narrative highlights how intercessory prayer coincided with widespread international assistance, including medical support, logistical aid, reconstruction resources, and financial contributions from governments, communities, artists, and global citizens. By honoring these Prayer Warriors, the article affirms the enduring relevance of spiritual leadership, compassion, and ethical responsibility in disaster response. This recognition serves as a historical and humanitarian record of faith-driven resilience, preserving the role of collective prayer in sustaining hope, unity, and restoration in the aftermath of catastrophe.
