Abstract

This Implementation Plan sets out and prioritises the actions, considerations, responsibilities and timelines for implementing the Cultural Values Management Plan (CVMP).There are two pivotal priorities that are key to implementation of the whole plan – endorsement of the CVMP by the Australian Government (and/or integration into a bioregional plan) and the Free, Prior and Informed Consent of the CVMP by RAP. The actions to achieve these priorities are positioned as the foundational priorities towards implementation. While the Implementation Plan sets out the specific actions of the CVMP, over the life of the Plan, additional initiatives and priorities may be developed which contribute to the protection and management of the Indigenous cultural values of the Wet Tropics biocultural region.
