Abstract

This analysis serves as a critical self-examination regarding the boundaries between documentation and self-promotion. By examining the tragic cases of Uli Emanuele and Gigi Wu, I explore the phenomenon of "Digital Narcissism" and its potential to distort objective reality. For me, as a documentarian focusing on the history of abuse in residential homes, this work is a vital tool for self-protection. It allows me to critically question how self-presentation and narcissism might influence my own work and provides a reflective framework to ensure that my primary mission—truthful documentation—remains untainted by ego or the search for digital validation. This study is an act of "Understanding Instead of Judging," intended to safeguard the credibility of my long-term documentation project.Source Triad & Context:Archive: https://archive.org/details/@peterkrugaussalzburgBiographical Anchor:https://sasukepedia.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:PETERSIEGFRIEDKRUG/Biographie_Peter_Siegfried_KrugMission Statement: This work is dedicated to the processing of trauma and the documentation of institutional abuse.© Copyright 2026 Peter Siegfried Krug.
