Paediatric Sepsis: General Practice Update

This document is intended to support general practitioners (GPs) in their clinical decision making. It is not intended to replace clinical judgement. It aims to: • Increase awareness of paediatric sepsis and post sepsis syndrome as it applies to general practice. • Highlight infection prevention measures such as vaccination as the most effective means to prevent sepsis.• Assist GPs in the detection, assessment and early management of suspected sepsis.
