NTU with US: Embracing Engagement and Inclusivity During Induction Week
Abstract
Presentation of the NTUwithUS game at the TILT ALT Conference, June 2024. The first game was centred on the NTU City Campus and introduced students to buildings, facilities, key staff, student support services, assessment types, and study skills. The second game offered a curated Nottingham City trail, guiding students through key landmarks such as the Robin Hood Statue, Old Market Square, and Nottingham Castle to support international students’ belonging and local confidence. In both games, students used GPS to navigate to locations, complete quests, submit micro tasks, and earn points, creating an accessible, time bound, high engagement induction model that overcame previous limitations.
