Abstract

Supplementary Material 4: Fig. S4. The knockout mutant showed decreased sensitivity to H2O2 and upregulated expression of oxidative stress-related genes. A The ΔVdPGAM1 mutants were compared with the wild type and the C-ΔVdPGAM1 strains. Equal conidial suspensions (1.5 mL, 1×1010 CFU·mL-1) of each strain were added to PDA plates. Filter paper disks (5 mm diameter) were placed in the center of the plates, and 10 μL of 15%, 30% H2O2 were added to each paper disk, respectively. The plates were incubated at 25 °C for 4 days. Scale bar = 1 cm. B, C Diameter of inhibition zone. D The expression of oxidative stress-related genes (VdSOD1, VdCAT1, VdGSS) was up-regulated. Values represent means ± standard deviation of three replicates. The asterisks represent statistical differences performed by a t-test in comparison with the wild type strains (** represents P < 0.01 and *** represents P< 0.001).
