Discovering and Measuring DPGs

This presentation was the keynote address for CHAOSScon in 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. I delivered and update on our progress in the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) working group as well as providing a review of other metrics, projects, and indices related to measuring the impact of Digital Public Goods (DPGs). Finally we gave a demo of our tool to help contributors and maintainers of open source repositories identify if their work is highly relevant at addressing one or more SDG.
