Abstract

This work establishes an ontological and architectural formulation of Will as a directional operator governing admissible reconstruction in long-horizon adaptive systems. The work addresses a persistent failure mode in adaptive architectures: structurally premature and irreversible commitment occurring prior to stabilization of admissibility conditions required for identity and regime continuity. The contribution introduces admissibility as a pre-decisional architectural primitive that governs whether an operation may enter evaluation at all, independently of estimated value, utility, confidence, or optimization criteria. Commitment is reframed as an operation that contracts the space of admissible continuation, and irreversibility is defined as loss of future admissible structure rather than magnitude of cost. Will is treated not as a mechanism of choice, optimization, or action selection, but as a structural constraint on the direction of admissible reconstruction under non-objectifiability of the generative level. Internal time is framed as a measure of structural exposure rather than duration. The work further establishes the necessity of authorization gates to prevent irreversible commitment under abstraction self-closure.No algorithms, estimators, thresholds, or implementations are disclosed. This publication is provided to establish prior art and conceptual priority for architectural treatments of admissibility, commitment, and reconstruction direction in long-horizon adaptive systems.
