Four-Dimensional Parametric Sensitivity Data for Capillary Fiber Refractometer Design Optimization
Abstract
File Format: MATLAB .mat files (or exported as CSV/Excel) Files Included: t10.mat, t11.mat, t12.mat, ..., t20.mat (11 files total) This supplementary dataset contains complete simulation results from a comprehensive 4D parametric sweep of capillary fiber (CF)–based refractometer sensitivity. The data represents the absolute sensitivity (|S|) as a function of: Cone angle (θ_cone): 10° to 20° (11 discrete values) Collapsed length (z): 30 μm to 750 μm (25 discrete values per θ_cone) Sensing medium refractive index (n_sm): 1.316 to 1.444 RIU (continuous sweep per z configuration) Total data points: ~40,150 sensitivity values across the complete parametric space. File Names: t10.mat → Simulation data for θ_cone = 10° t11.mat → Simulation data for θ_cone = 11° t12.mat → Simulation data for θ_cone = 12° ... t20.mat → Simulation data for θ_cone = 20° Each filename corresponds to a specific cone angle value. The "t" prefix is shorthand for "theta," and the number represents the cone angle in degrees. Explicit column mapping: Each matrix file (t10 through t20) follows the identical column structure: columns 1–2 contain n_sm and |S| for z = 30 μm, columns 3–4 for z = 60 μm, columns 5–6 for z = 90 μm, continuing sequentially through columns 49–50 which contain n_sm and |S| for the maximum collapsed length z = 750 μm. This consistent interleaved structure enables direct indexing and facilitates automated data processing across all θ_cone values (t10 to t20).
