Abstract

This is a PowerPoint presentation on my seminar topic: Evolution of Violence in Children's Literature where I discuss how the representation of violence has evolved from the Shaktimaan of 90s to the later cartoons like Chota Bheem to the most bloody, gory, dark and disturbing anime called Attack on Titan where it openly depict people being eaten alive, dismemberment, decapitation, massacre, mass murder and macabre. I discuss how it affects children, their psychological development, mentality, measures society could take up to prevent children of different age groups being exposed to violent contents, importance of age appropriate contents and our responsibility as family, artists and content creators to prevent dissemination of violent content among youngsters.
