Thermodynamics of Attention: The Four Invariant Laws of Human Focus
Abstract
Abstract: This paper presents the Attention Resource Law (ARL), a scientific-legal framework consisting of four conservation principles that govern the digital capture and monetization of human focus. The Four Invariants:ARL-1 (Conservation): Attention is a finite, non-elastic reservoir.ARL-2 (Anchoring): Every unit of stabilized attention carries non-zero economic value.ARL-3 (Saturation Velocity): There is a fixed neurocognitive limit to the rate of information absorption.ARL-4 (The Safety Corridor): Capture beyond a specific threshold produces systemic cognitive and social harm.Theoretical Results: Includes the Signal-to-Noise Theorem and the Creator Middle-Class Theorem, demonstrating that "lawful" attention systems are mathematically superior to extractive "infinite-scroll" models.
