Abstract

This dataset “analytical-data.dta” contains a household-individual panel constructed by merging three sources: (1) the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS, https://www.isss.pku.edu.cn/cfps/), providing individual- and household-level socioeconomic information; (2) the Peking University Digital Financial Inclusion Index (https://idf.pku.edu.cn/), providing provincial-level digital finance indicators; and (3) provincial macroeconomic statistics. The sample covers 55,684 person-year observations from 23,788 individuals in 11,600 households across 31 provinces over the period 2012--2022 (CFPS waves 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022). This Stata do-file "01_regressions.do" performs the full regression analysis for the paper. It loads "analytical-data.dta", generates derived variables (age squared, log transformations), and estimates the regression results.
