Genomics template

This document provides a template to support genomics research teams in providing information about their intended research that hapori Māori (in particular Kāti Huirapa Rūnaka ki Puketeraki) need to know to assess the research's alignment with priorities, potential risks and benefits, and desired levels of involvement, from endorsement through to co-production. It also prompts researchers to address issues such as sampling impacts, data storage and sharing, Indigenous data sovereignty, capacity and capability building, benefit return, recognition of hapori contributions, and protection of mātauranga Māori. It was developed through wānanga and collaboration between hapori members and experienced genomics researchers.
