Abstract

This study, “Mindfulness and Meditation-Based Relapse Prevention for Substance Use Disorders: Research Case Series of Three Participants”, is a minimal-risk case series designed to explore the effects of mindfulness and meditation interventions on individuals with substance use disorders. The study involves a small number of participants (three or fewer) and focuses on behavioral observations, self-reported experiences, and responses to guided mindfulness exercises and meditation practices. Data collection includes brief surveys, reflective questionnaires, and optional qualitative feedback, all conducted in a safe and private setting. The purpose of this study is to gain preliminary insights into the feasibility, acceptability, and potential benefits of mindfulness-based relapse prevention for this population, while ensuring participant privacy and minimal risk.
