Eating disorders in children are serious mental health conditions marked by abnormal eating habits, disturbed body image, and emotional distress. They may be acute, with sudden severe symptoms needing urgent care, or chronic, with long-term effects on growth, development, and mental health. Early diagnosis and family-based treatment are essential to improve outcomes.
