Abstract

Images related to Supplementary figure 1B. Fluorescent image shows Cre-EGFP expression and the brightfield image shows blue XGal reaction product. Due to the genetics of the mouse, Beta-galactosidase is only expressed when Cre recombination occurred. The sections are consecutive with 100um thickness. You can observe that the sections are reflected/mirror images of one another based on the hippocampal anatomy and the intentional damage induced in thalamus during processing of tissue.
