Abstract

3D Roof Measurement Technology for Storm Damage and Insurance EstimationA Case Study by EaveMeasureSevere weather events including hurricanes, hailstorms, and windstorms are increasing across the United States, creating higher demand for fast and accurate roof damage assessments. Traditional manual roof inspections involve safety risks, inconsistent measurements, and delayed insurance claim processing. This study evaluates the implementation of drone-based aerial imaging combined with 3D roof modeling technology for storm damage assessment and insurance estimation workflows.EaveMeasure utilizes high-resolution drone imagery and advanced photogrammetric processing to generate insurance-ready roof measurement reports within hours.
