Seasonal dynamics of the gut microbiota of ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) in Dajing Stream, Zhejiang Province, China
Abstract
Ayu (Plecoglossus altivelis) is a representative amphidromous river fish in East Asia, and some stream populations are under pressure from habitat degradation and resource decline. In this study, we investigated ayu from Dajing Stream (Zhejiang Province, China) by synchronously sampling water (H), gut contents (N), and gut tissue (C) across four seasons (36 samples in total).
