Abstract

Impaired walking affects nearly half of stroke survivors due to damage to motor control pathways. Intermuscular coherence analysis during gait offers insight into neural input to muscles. Vibrational cueing via peripheral devices may modulate sensory pathways and improve gait. This pilot study evaluates intermuscular coherence to 1) characterise stroke survivors against controls, and 2) assess the impact of vibratory cueing in stroke and controls.
