Abstract

SUPERETY is a sustainability-driven biomedical study that focuses on developing a novel arterial prosthesis designed to help mitigate Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm (TAA). The project explores a deacetylated-chitin-based bioactive graft reinforced with allotropic graphene nanodots, aiming to improve strength, durability, and antibacterial performance. Through material fabrication, proof-of-concept testing, and simulatory analysis, the study evaluates the prosthesis’ potential to provide a safer, stronger, and more reliable alternative for arterial repair.
