Narrative Engineering and the Control of Chaos: "Pulp Fiction" as a Thermodynamic System
Abstract
This monograph explores the application of the Second Law of Thermodynamics to narrative structures. By defining "Narrative Entropy," we analyze how information uncertainty and structural disorder affect the reader's perception and the story's causal integrity. Through the case study of Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, we demonstrate how Narrative Engineering can consciously manage chaos to achieve a structural "Entropy Reversal."
