Influence of Electromagnetic Fields on Platelet Aggregation Dnamics in Stenotic Arterial Flow
Abstract
Percutaneous coronary intervention with stent placement remains the standard of care for obstructive coronary artery disease, yet stent thrombosis continues to occur despite optimal dual antiplatelet therapy. The electromagnetic environment generated by interventional equipment during these procedures has received limited systematic investigation as a potential modifier of thrombotic risk. Blood is an electrically conductive fluid containing charged ionic species and cellular components that can interact with electromagnetic fields through magnetohydrodynamic principles
