Abstract

This repository contains the minimal dataset and reproducibility materials required to verify the principal findings reported in the article: “Perceptions and Expectations in the Classroom from the Perspective of the Pygmalion Effect.” Two language versions of the documentation are included: MinimalDataset_Pygmalion_UTN_EN/ → English-translated documentation MinimalDataset_Pygmalion_UTN_ES/ → Original documentation in Spanish 1. DATA Anonymized datasets in .xlsx format. Data are separated by participant group: Students Teachers Includes Likert-scale responses used in the Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). All datasets were cleaned and processed to remove personal, sensitive, or identifiable information. 2. ANALYSIS R scripts used to perform Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using the lavaan package. .RData and .Rhistory files preserving the complete RStudio working environment. Intermediate outputs generated during the analytical process. Scripts are structured to allow full replication of reported results. 3. FIGURES Visual structural models developed in Microsoft Visio. Figures are based directly on CFA results obtained in R. Models correspond to the factor structures reported in the article. 4. INFORMED CONSENT AND ETHICS Informed consent forms used during data collection. Ethical approval documentation (if required by institutional review board). Full anonymization procedures were implemented. The study complies with institutional ethical standards and international research integrity guidelines. 5. INSTRUMENTS This folder includes the original questionnaires used in the study, together with validation and reliability documentation. Applied Instruments CCS – Classroom Climate Scale ITIS – Implicit Theories of Intelligence Scale SPED – Student Perception of Educational Development SPPS – Student Perceived Psychological Safety TEQ – Teacher Expectation Questionnaire Included Documentation Structured Likert-scale questionnaires Delphi-method validation checklists Technical reports on reliability and internal consistency Expert judgment documentation Factor structure validation reports All instruments were administered to both students and teachers and were validated prior to implementation to ensure methodological rigor. 6. REPRODUCIBILITY STATEMENT All analyses can be replicated using the included R scripts and datasets. The provided materials allow verification of: Factor structure estimation Reliability indices Structural model estimation Reported statistical outputs 7. DATA ACCESS All shared data have been processed to remove any personal, sensitive, or identifiable information. For additional information, extended access requests, or clarification regarding replication procedures, please contact the corresponding author.
