Abstract
OverviewThis item contains the digital poster and supplementary data presented at the Wellcome Connecting Science: Microbiome Interactions in Health and Disease 2026 conference (2–4 March 2026).SummaryThis study investigates the fecal, oral, and skin microbiome composition and transmission patterns across seven transitioning hunter-gatherer communities in Indonesia. Specifically, we explore the microbial sharing and ecology across three body sites in humans and their companion dogs, providing insights into how lifestyle transitions and social proximity shaped the microbiome composition in Southeast Asian contexts. The analysis in this study leveraged the IndoMEE V2 reference database, currently under development by the MOBILE project team.Project InformationThis research is part of the MOBILE Project (Movement networks and genetic evolution among tropical hunter-gatherers of island Southeast Asia). For more information on our fieldwork, methodology, and the IndoMEE database, please visit the official project MOBILE Project website. How to CiteFebinia, C. A., Luqman, H., Almeida, A., Limardi, P.
