Abstract

This research-informed poster presents a conceptual guide to ethical implementation of generative artificial intelligence in English-Medium Instruction (EMI) within higher education. The poster is intended for EMI practitioners, academic developers, and higher education stakeholders who are engaging with AI-mediated teaching, learning, and assessment practices.Drawing on contemporary debates in applied linguistics, higher education, and AI ethics, the poster foregrounds the need for responsible, transparent, and pedagogically grounded uses of AI in EMI contexts, where language proficiency, epistemic access, and assessment fairness are persistent structural concerns. It positions ethical AI not as a technical add-on, but as an issue embedded within institutional practice, curriculum design, and academic judgement. The poster is designed as a practice-oriented synthesis, supporting reflective decision-making around AI adoption in EMI programmes rather than offering prescriptive or tool-specific guidance. It contributes to ongoing discussions on the implications of generative AI for equity, responsibility, and quality in English-medium higher education. This output is archived as a citable scholarly artefact to support dissemination, reuse, and professional engagement.
