Abstract

We recorded the canopy surface of a C. cuspidata tree every hour during daytime at the Institute for Nature Study in Tokyo, Japan (35°38'11.1"N, 139°43'17.7"E, ~30 m a.s.l.). To this end, we installed a timelapse digital camera (WTW-TRC2732, Wireless Tsukamoto Co., Ltd., Tsu, Mie, Japan) facing northwest at the ground (~2 m above ground). This video was created from the original JPEG images (3264 × 2448 pixels) at a daily time step.
