Abstract

This documentation examines the profound psychological impact of maternal projective identification on children placed in institutional care. It argues that the psychic act of abandonment—being used as a container for the mother's own unmastered shame and self-hatred—inflicts a deeper wound than the physical abuse experienced within the homes themselves.Peter Siegfried Krug (23.11.1966 in Salzburg) is a dedicated researcher and analyst focusing on the forensic and deep-psychological examination of institutional child abuse. Combining his analytical skills as a chess composer (study composer and FIDE master of the FIDE in chess) with a profound commitment to social justice, he aims to uncover and document the unconscious psychodynamic mechanisms that perpetuate transgenerational trauma. His work focuses on breaking the cycle of abuse by making invisible structures, such as projective identification, visible and accessible for understanding and healing. His mission is to restore dignity to victims and prevent future suffering through rigorous documentation and analysis.
