Abstract

Gravitation acts universally and, in contrast to electro- magnetic effects, cannot be shielded. In established physics, this non-shieldability is usually described as a consequence of universal coupling or the absence of negative mass, but it is ra- rely given a mechanical explanation. The Universal Quantum Foam Hypothesis (UQSH) allows a direct field-mechanical explanation: matter is understood as bound reorganization dynamics of a continuous medium, and gravitation appears as the persistent field geometry of this bound organization. Shielding would require a local neutralization or cancellation of this geometry. Field-mechanically, this would correspond to a relaxation of bound organization—and thus to a structural dissolution of that which is to be shielded. Non-shieldability is therefore not an additional postulate, but a necessary con- sequence of the ontology of a unified field medium.
