The Universal Condensate Principle: Towards a Unified Effective-Action Framework for Order Parameters Across Physics
Abstract
We develop a concise, operator-based framework in which disparate notions of condensation (Bose--Einstein condensation, superconducting pairing, chiral symmetry breaking, Higgs vacuum expectation value, and curvature/geometry-induced order parameters) are treated uniformly as stationary solutions of an effective action. The key structural claim is that ``condensates'' are encoded by expectation values of chosen operators and obtained as solutions of coupled stationarity (gap) equations derived from a quantum effective action. To interpolate consistently between ultraviolet and infrared limits, we also record the functional renormalization group flow of a scale-dependent effective action.
