Abstract

Talisay Tree (T. catappa L.) is known for its antibacterial properties, yet its potential as an algae inhibitor is not well-established. Although toxic chemicals are frequently used in current algae control approaches, understanding this potential aspect is essential (Alazaiza et al., 2023). Whereas talisay tree powder's antibacterial properties have been extensively studied, limited sources has been established about its ability to inhibit algae, especially in marine environment and aquaculture systems.
