Abstract
This study is the first to demonstrate that TXNIP drives Th17 immune polarization by inhibiting PINK1-mediated mitophagy, and its specific inhibitor SRI-37330 alleviates alveolar bone loss in diabetic periodontitis through restoring mitochondrial function, indicating that targeting the TXNIP/PINK1 axis represents a potential novel therapeutic strategy for this disease.
