Entropy Balance Cosmic Model: A Unified Theory of Matter and Consciousness Based on Constraint-Dimension Dynamics

This paper proposes the Entropy Balance Cosmic Model, a unified theoretical framework describing both the material world and the consciousness world, established on four fundamental axioms: constraint, dimension, entropy, and symmetric evolution of dual worlds. From the first principle, this paper redefines the core physical concept of dimension: dimension is the number of released, non-mergable, independent constraint degrees of freedom that characterize the form of existence; the hierarchical level of a dimension is strictly equivalent to the number of independent constraints released by the system. We clarify that the 4-dimensional (4D) real spacetime we inhabit is essentially the release of four fundamental, objective constraints: position, orientation, time, and mass-energy, while the essence of quantum superposition is the release of the 5th-dimensional constraint—the possibility constraint.The universe is composed of two independent, symmetric, one-dimension-higher offset mapped dimensional systems: the real material world and the mental consciousness world. The material world evolves along the direction of entropy increase, constraint release, and dimension upgrading; the mental world evolves along the direction of entropy decrease, constraint recovery, and dimension downgrading. The two systems satisfy the global entropy equilibrium principle: the total entropy increase of the material world is identically equal to the total entropy decrease of the mental world, which is the necessary and sufficient condition for the stable existence of the universe.This model provides a self-consistent explanation for the second law of thermodynamics, quantum superposition and the observer effect (double-slit interference experiment), the essence of consciousness, the origin of life, individual differences in innate talent, and the relationship between the mental noumenon and individual consciousness. This paper puts forward 4 experimentally verifiable and falsifiable predictions strictly derived from the core axioms. The theory does not contradict existing verified physics laws, but only extends their boundary, and has the potential to form the framework of the grand unified theory of the universe
