Abstract

The presence of ExoY inhibits ExoS-induced caspase-10 activation regardless of the presence of ExoT. PMVECs were treated with HBSS or inoculated with P. aeruginosa at an MOI of 20:1 for 5.5 hours. PMVECs were loaded with fluorescently labeled active caspase 10 substrate FAM-AEVD-FMK for the last 3 h of infection. Intracellular active caspase was assessed by flow cytometry. Each data point represents 1 experiment performed in duplicate. Data were analyzed by ordinary one-way ANOVA with Tukey’s post-hoc test. ns=not significant.
