Abstract

Decision-OS V6 v2 presents a minimal architecture for non-destructive commitment. Rather than defining self-evolution itself, V6 formalizes the commitment boundary under which updates can be merged, canonicalized, and safety-bounded without destructive inconsistency. Its core consists of a join-semilattice merge substrate, admissible and inflationary updates, commitment-bounded operational equivalence, idempotent canonicalization, and conservative safety aggregation at commitment. While CRDT-style systems explain order-robust convergence of replicated updates, V6 explains the commitment boundary under which such convergence remains non-destructive. Its central contribution is the formal separation between the candidate frontier and the committed canonical state: plurality is preserved before commitment, while Canon and the Safety Triplet jointly constrain the committed state at commitment. In the Decision-OS lineage, V6 corresponds to the layer “how updates merge without rupture.” It serves as a pre-evolutionary substrate for later work, including V7, but does not itself define update selection, temporal optimization, or self-evolution. This item is the primary V6 paper in the Decision-OS lineage. Version 2 refines the theory by introducing commitment-boundary formalization and replacing earlier broader formulations.
