Abstract

This package contains the minimal dataset, analysis scripts, instruments, and ethical documentation necessary to verify the key findings of the article: "Classroom climate and teacher expectations in the configuration of student profiles and their relationship with university academic performance". 1. DATA- Anonymized Datasets: * Final Student Database.xlsx: Contains the response vectors and psychometric scores for the student sample (N=469). * Teachers Database_final_charged.xlsx: Contains the corresponding data collected from the teaching staff.- Included Metrics: * Responses for the Classroom Climate Scale (CCS) and the Scale of Perceived Teacher Expectations (SPED). * Academic performance indicators: Minimum grade, Maximum grade, and cumulative metrics. * Sociodemographic variables: Including marital status, parenthood, and employment. 2. ANALYSISThis folder contains the complete technical core used for data processing and evidence generation:- FINAL_REPORT.xlsx: A comprehensive document containing all processed statistical outputs, including reliability (alpha and omega), normality tests, cluster profiles, and hypothesis testing (Kruskal-Wallis and Chi-Square).- Final_script.txt: The full R source code (v.4.5.1) used to transform the raw data into the results presented in the study.- Statistical Logic: Includes the implementation of the HJ-Biplot and Hierarchical Clustering (HCPC) to identify the four latent student profiles. 3. ETHICAL DOCUMENTATION- Institutional Approval: This study was formally approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Universidad Técnica del Norte.- Certificate: Official approval protocol UTN-FECYT-CEI-2026-007-C, issued on November 14, 2025.- Informed Consent: Participants provided digital informed consent prior to data collection, ensuring voluntary participation and full anonymity. 4. INSTRUMENTSThis section includes the digitized psychometric battery used for data collection:- Classroom Climate Scale (CCS): Measures Physical Environment, Teacher-Student Interactions, Peer Relations, and Learning Orientation.- Scale of Perceived Teacher Expectations (SPED): Measures the "Pygmalion Effect" via Encouragement, Consideration, Negativity Avoidance, and Recognition. Technical Specifications:- Internal consistency coefficients (alpha and omega) range between 0.82 and 0.93.- Instruments utilize structured 5-point and 7-point Likert scales. ---Contact Information:For further technical details or extended access requests, please contact the corresponding authors: Paúl Andrade-Ubidia (rpandrade@utn.edu.ec)Carla B.
