Abstract

This repository contains the extended data supporting the study “An Exploratory Mixed-Method Study of Occupational Risk Factors and Predictive Modeling of Work Accidents in Palm Oil Workers.” The materials include the quantitative dataset, research questionnaire, interview guide, and participant information and consent-related documents used in this study. The dataset contains individual-level quantitative data from 191 palm oil workers collected in Indonesia. It was used to investigate occupational risk factors associated with work-related accidents and to support predictive model development. Variables cover multiple domains of occupational health, including: (1) individual factors (e.g., age group, sex, education level, BMI, chronic disease), (2) occupational factors (e.g., work duration, working hours, job category, work unit), (3) environmental exposures (e.g., workplace temperature and noise), (4) organizational factors (e.g., PPE use, supervision, medical check-up status), and (5) workload indicators (NASA-TLX and heavy lifting). The primary outcome variable is occupational_accident, with additional information on accident frequency and severity. Injury-related variables are only applicable to workers who experienced occupational accidents. Missing or non-applicable values are indicated as “NA”.These materials are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and secondary analysis in occupational health research. All data have been de-identified and anonymized prior to sharing. The research instruments are presented in both Indonesian and English. The Indonesian version was used during data collection, while the English version is provided to facilitate transparency and accessibility for an international audience.
