PRISMA 2020 checklist for: Strategic research leadership and research capacity enhancement in Ugandan universities: a systematic review

This systematic review examined nine research capacity enhancement frameworks in Ugandan universities, analysing scope, strategic research leadership integration, mechanisms linking leadership to outcomes, and limitations. Findings highlight neglect of private universities, students, and education disciplines, with sustainability and monitoring gaps, underscoring the need for inclusive, context‑specific models.
