U–Th geochronology of echinoids from an extinct brine pool in the Red Sea.

This dataset contains U–Th geochronologic measurements of echinoid material collected from sediments associated with Red Sea brine pools. Data include uranium and thorium concentrations, U–Th isotope activity ratios, and calculated ages with associated analytical uncertainties. These data accompany the study “Brine Pool Microbes Enrich Metalliferous Sediments in Salt Giant Basins” by Chakraborty et al.
