Challenges of Entrepreneurship in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: A Systematic Review
Abstract
This is a collection containing all my favorite itemsArtificial intelligence in entrepreneurship has gained increasing relevance in recent years. Its continuous evolution and exponential growth have exposed entrepreneurs to constant changes in their operating environments. In this context, the aim of this study is to analyze the solutions proposed in the scientific literature regarding the implementation of artificial intelligence by entrepreneurs, the main challenges they face when integrating technological tools, and the ways in which these strategies influence staff training, institutional support, and the obstacles involved in fostering successful entrepreneurial initiatives. A Systematic Literature Review was conducted using the PRISMA methodology, following four phases: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The review considered articles published between 2020 and 2025 in English and Spanish, drawn from the Scopus, Web of Science, Taylor and Francis, and SciELO databases, and analyzed using rigorous scientific criteria. An initial search yielded 721 articles, of which 26 met the inclusion and quality criteria. The findings highlight innovation, experimentation, training, and the development of digital skills as essential elements for entrepreneurship. In conclusion, the results emphasize that the specific artificial intelligence strategies and tools employed by entrepreneurs to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making are primarily centered on automation and data analysis.
