Abstract

Driven particles in a confined slit channel h∗ = 10, l∗ = 100, with a few fluorescently-labeled particles in view. The magnetic field driving particle motion is unidirectional. The frame rate is 3× the acquisition rate. We observe that the initially uniform distribution of particles evolves and displays strong fluctuations in density.
