Abstract
Primary malignant tumors of the heart are rare diseases, with sarcomas being the most common. The present study reports the case of a rare malignant tumor of the peripheral nerve sheath with cardiac involvement. This is an observational, descriptive, and retrospective study. The case describes the clinical presentation of nonspecific respiratory symptoms in a patient, with rapid progression and functional impairment, in which multiple clinical, laboratory, and imaging examinations were required to determine the etiology of the condition; however, surgical resection and anatomopathological examination were ultimately necessary to establish the final diagnosis and improve the symptoms presented.
