China's Role in the Context of the Global Economic Crisis
Abstract
The paper analyzes China's role in the context of the global economic crisis, highlighting both its essential contribution to world growth and the internal vulnerabilities that could generate systemic risks. The study examines China's economic evolution before and after the recent major crises—the 2008 financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the current geopolitical fragmentation. The real estate crisis, demographic challenges, and structural imbalances are analyzed, as well as the transformations in global supply chains. The paper also explores the strategic competition between China and the United States and its impact on trade, technology, and global stability. The conclusions emphasize the dual nature of the Chinese economy: a motor of global growth, but also a potential source of instability in the event of a prolonged slowdown.
