Gobernar a través de las palabras en sociedades complejas: ¿Por qué es tan complejo gobernar?
Abstract
In contemporary democracies, governance requires not only institutional effectiveness but also communication capable of building consensus in complex contexts. Drawing on theorists such as Innerarity, Lakoff, O'Donnell, and Linz, this text argues that political discourse must be strategic, empathetic, and inclusive, oriented toward peace, equity, and social cohesion. In the face of a diverse and well-informed citizenry, democratic legitimacy is built through language, not imposition. Thus, communication becomes a fundamental political act to promote active participation, institutional stability, and effective responses to the challenges of pluralism and global interconnectedness that characterize today’s evolving democratic landscapes.
