In 2001, a monumental work by H.J. Eggers and P.E. Stary was published, in which the first of the authors presents finds from the pre-Roman period, the Roman period and the Migration period from the former province of Pommern collected until the end of the war. Many of them appeared in the literature for the first time. While studying Eggers’ legacy, kept in the Römisch-Germanische Kommission in Frankfurt am Main in the form of a file, the content of which was the basis for the monograph, it was noticed that not all materials collected therein had been used. The finds assigned to the former Neustettin district (present-day Szczecinek, Szczecinek district) were verified and it turned out that not all information regarding this area was included in the published catalogue. In many cases, it is possible to supplement the descriptions of objects and their typological classification on the basis of the file and to present documentation of better quality.
