Abstract

Financial education is essential for responsible money management, including saving, credit management, and investment. Its deficiency is a major concern in Ecuador and internationally. Focusing on Ecuador, despite the fact that 64% of the adult population (7.3 million) had a bank account in 2021, 36% (4.1 million) lack access to the benefits of the financial system. To address this underperformance, the Intelligent Education System (SEI) with Adaptive Tutoring (AT) is presented as a dynamic solution that personalizes learning. The results indicate that the SEI with AT has a positive impact that is superior to traditional methods in improving money management skills and habits in young people and adults. This is due to its focus on individual behavior, using Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to adapt content, pace, and feedback.
