Abstract

Abstract: Security, intelligence, and biosecurity have matured as distinct analytic traditions, yet their operational reality is increasingly joint: cyber-physical systems couple software vulnerabilities to physical consequences, informational influence interacts with institutional trust, and biological threats propagate through social and logistical networks. This manuscript proposes a unifying lens grounded in geometry and control: the geometry of representations, constraints, and flows, and the control of uncertainty through observation, decision, and feedback. The central argument is that disciplined research design can translate these abstractions into accountable evidence, while statistical and machine learning methods can be organized as complementary components of a single lifecycle: explanation and causal inference for why interventions work, prediction and generalization for when they will fail, and scalable engineering for how they can be deployed reproducibly. Across five chapters, the book develops a coherent conceptual map linking uncertainty quantification, causal identification, trustworthy prediction, and MLOps governance to practical decision tools for risk management, early warning, and resilience planning. Rather than relying on case-specific narratives, the manuscript prioritizes transferable frameworks and evaluation protocols that can be adapted across South Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas by researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. Keywords geometry, control theory, uncertainty quantification, risk governance, research design, causal inference, statistical modeling, machine learning, trustworthy AI, reproducible analytics, MLOps, anomaly detection, cyber-physical security, intelligence analysis, biosecurity, early warning, evaluation metrics, decision support, policy impact, accountability
